At East-West Initiatives we have a big vision:

To make the world a better place by building relationships of understanding, trust and love between people of different cultures and religions.

In today’s global climate we see a deep need to rebuild trust, respect and appreciation between the East and the West, and between Christians and Muslims. Uniquely based in Jordan, the heart of the Middle East, East-West Initiatives exists to facilitate opportunities for cultural interaction and dialogue that change people’s perceptions and attitudes. These relationships will provide a foundation for reconciliation between people, leading to a decrease in international tension and a better hope for peace in the major areas of conflict.

Our Objectives

The objectives of East-West Initiatives are:

1. To build cross-cultural and inter-religious relationships that will lead to true friendship and trust.
2. To raise awareness in the West of Arab life, culture and belief, and vice versa.
3. To promote Jordan and educate people about the opportunities for peacemaking, business and tourism that exist here.
3. To invest in young people – equipping the leaders of tomorrow with a global perspective and cross- cultural leadership skills.

The means of achieving the above objectives will be:

1. Educational Tours; groups experiencing another culture and building relationships as they do so.
2. University student leadership forums.
3. Sports and music exchange programs.
4. Inter-faith Dialogue
5. Community service projects.
6. Partnership with others who share our vision.
